Selym Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing arts, culture, and storytelling as essential tools for healing, civic engagement, and community transformation.
Through its national initiative — the Creative Arts Empowerment Network (CAEN) — Selym Inc designs and deploys programs, platforms, and partnerships that place artists and cultural leaders at the center of America’s most pressing social challenges.
We believe the artists, musicians, storytellers, and cultural organizers of our communities are not supplemental to change — they are its architects.

How We Are Organized
Selym Inc is the registered 501(c)(3) legal entity through which all fiscal operations, grant funding, and legal agreements are conducted.
The Creative Arts Empowerment Network (CAEN) is our operating initiative — the brand, programs, and public platform through which we carry out our mission.
Strategic and operational leadership is provided by Melvin K Myles LLC, ensuring the organization benefits from dedicated executive expertise. Melvin Kindall Myles serves as Executive Director.
Our Leadership
Selym Inc is led by Melvin Kindall Myles, a Vocal Laureate, cultural strategist, and nonprofit leader whose work sits at the intersection of music, healing, and civic transformation. A Carnegie Hall Vocal Laureate who has performed at Washington National Cathedral and Central Synagogue, Melvin brings both the artistic depth and institutional rigor this work demands.
